Im pretty sure I got into a brawl in my sleep last nite. Maybe it was the punk kitties. Maybe I decided to sleep walk down to the local bar and pick a fight. Maybe I fell out of bed. I woke up with boy my thighs as stiff as a board and I feel like I got punched in the chin. Im actually chalking up the thighs as a work related soreness because I was bent over 2 window boxes sanding and painting for a long time. The punch to the chin? Im sure the cats were using me as a punching bag until I got up to feed them breakfast.
I feel very tired and I shouldn't. Atleast I don't feel that I should. My eyes particularly won't function properly. This morning I actually know what time I have to be at work and I also know what I won't be there for more than 3 hours because today is also when we go to the final dress of the Big Apple Circus as Props Assistants. Well, we're just going to represent and watch the show. Not actually working there.
This morning is one of those mornings where I begin to write something and a few sentences in my fingers get backspace happy because I realize my sentences are going nowhere interesting or important. Don't worry, you're not missing out on anything. I have nothing all that special to tell.
All my train rides were normal yesterday with the exception of the gaggle of girls having a laughing fit because one of them had a bizarre laugh. The laugher would subside for a minute until the one girl with the EEEEEEEE-snort-snort-snort-YELL laugh would be at it again and the rest would join in like a choir. The car was packed so needless to say they were drawing a ton of attention to themselves. Then they would say something like "Why dat bitch lookin' at me?" "Cuza yer laugh stupit!" and then it would start all over again.
Work was normal for the most part. It was just myself and the asst. working on seperate projects for one show. We spent over half the nite in opposite sides of the room not talking. Neither of us in the greatest of moods. Then out of nowhere the asst. said "C'mon! We're going on a freakin field trip for a few minutes!" I said sure, no prob. She took me outside for a walk to the local bar where we each had one beer and relaxed and forgot about work for a half an hour and came back feeling much better. Ive decided that's the perfect prescription to a crappy late nite call. The thing is, I really hate beer and Ive never been a drinker, never really will be, but that beer last nite really put me at ease for a little while. Made me really realize how people so easily become alcoholics.
We cranked out way more work than the boss expected us to so she was very happy. Today should be simple.
Heard the newest NOFX album yesterday too. I've always enjoyed them but had lost my interest in playing them all the time. However, this album is actually really great. The lyrics to every song are great and the whole album kind of tells a story. I feel like they wrote a lot of the songs based on my thoughts. Thanks guys.
