Exhaustion, muscle pain, not enough sugar for my coffee and the kittens are being obnoxious. That's alright though, I will survive because I have work again today and possibly tomorrow. I just hope this is the beginning of some sort of streak....
I cant tell you how many times I have had to backspace in the last 30 seconds. It would be embarrassing.

SO...I left here at 830 yesterday morning to go meet my employers asst. (both of whom are good pals of mine) because I hadn't the faintest idea where her new shop was and the project of the day was cleaning said shop out. I had to meet her at 10 but because it's the weekend and I have no idea how the trains are running, plus I haven't been to that part of town in awhile, I figured I would give myself a good headstart. Bad idea. I was there 30 minutes early. Then had to wait another 30 minutes because the asst. was waiting (of course) at a completely different train exit.

So I did that part of the day. Cleaned up and semi organized the props lady's shop. Took a trip to home depot to buy shelving which was great because it was us three chicks just marching around that place in our dirty clothes. The looks were fantastic. We got our shelves. That was cool too.

Asst. and I put the shelves together (accept for the broken one, stupid home depot) and put everything for the most part back together. Then I gave myself enough time to come back home and shower for the burlesque show yester-evening. I tell you I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what to wear. A girl like me doesn't have a lot of nice clothes or makeup but I figured I had to meet vaudeville standards....or atleast try. So I tried on all sorts of clothes, some of it pretty hot and stylish but too uncomfortable so I just ended up with a david bowie t-shirt that I gave to my brother a while back and a pair of low cut girlie dickies. Whatever, it worked and I was comfortable.

The burlesque show was great. I jumped right in head first...stage manager duties include but are certainly not limited too: getting music from the performers with track numbers and cues, getting guest list names, hanging show lists up around the crowded little space, setting up the "runway", shooting the shit with people, setting up and mics that are needed or striking them when a appropriate, striking stripped clothing after a performance...you know, like boas and monster stilletos and at the end of the nite, taking poloroids of guests with the performers and collecting 5 bucks for each.

It was a really interesting and a fun time. There were singers, burlesque dancers, a sword eater, a ukelele player and a man dressed up as a woman and doing a fantastic burlesque dance that did include a cock sock. I cant say I've ever seen anything like this up close. I think I found my first official city gig. It was a load of fun.

I'm way too tired to think anymore. Thanks for enduring the never ending babble.
