We watched two movies last nite...Identity and The American Movie. I must say, what a wonderful evening of motion picture viewing.

The boy himself was pretty well in the bag by the time we went to get the movies. Something about friday I guess...even though our friday's might as well be tuesdays and our wednesdays might as well be sunday. Weekends make no difference in this line of work. So yeah, I'll say he was pretty much ALL the way in the bag when we walked over to blockbuster. I went headstrong that we were going to get Identity because first of all, I hear it was good and second of all John Cusak can give me a kiss any day of the week. But when we got there it seemed that it was all out, that is until we figured out what the "guaranteed in stock" sign meant. Okay, so we just didnt read the directions. So before we figured that out, the boy went to pick out another movie. It being The American Movie.

It took us awhile to rent the movies because some jackass decided to cut ahead of us. This is when the boy came out with a piece of his infinite wisdom. "They should make it okay to punch people in the back of the head if they cut you on line." Yes dear, they should. "No seriously, we should be able to walk up to that dude and just smack him!" Yes dear. **"Next!!"**

Back to The American Movie now, the boy was sooooo excited that we rented it. So excited that I guarantee you I knew the whole story by the time we got home. "Dude, we saw it one nite back in Washington Heights when I lived there and we had cable and we were flipping thru and we had the independent film channel and we were like 'woah! what's this' and we watched it and it was great and it's about this guy and..."

You get the idea.

But yeah, we watched both of them. Identity was amazing of course. But let me tell you. If you're into documentarys, which we are around here, The American Movie is a must see. If you've seen it already then you know. If you havent, then you dont and you'll just have to trust me. Picture a Christopher Guest movie but real. True story.

So now Ive decided we're gonna make a documentary. The boy studied it in school and it's my flavor of the week. We've already got a subject in mind. This psycho dude that I cant handle hanging out with for more that 1.2 seconds but in the name of art, I'll do it! Yeah, we'll see.

And the day must go on.
