Burlesque. Last nite was a blast at ze "Best Burlesque Show in New York according to New York Magazine." Out of the 15 friends who said they would all come to the show, 10 showed up which to me is a huge success. Unfortunitely I had to miss another friend's engagement party to be at work last nite. I think they'll forgive me.

Anyhow, it was a truly wonderful nite. All my buddies had a wonderful time at the show and they all drank to their liver's content. The show was filled with completely different acts from last weekend. There was only one returning performer from last saturday and she had a different routine. I got the boy to take a picture with the ladies at the end of the nite which was fantastic because there just happened to be an extremely large breasted woman there who couldnt resist putting them on his fabulously bald head.

One of the friends said to me afterwards that they thought it was just the coolest that I was working on this show. She was right you know. It is the coolest. Working with these performers is a breath of fresh air. They're not like regular actors. No no. Instead they sit around naked most of the nite until they go on and strip down to their g-strings and painted nipples. Then they sit at the bar drinking and cheering on the rest of the performers. I get to see the show too. Im not stuck backstage like a normal stage manager, Im encouraged to go out into the bar area and watch actually. I loved watching my friends reactions to the show. I don't think any of them had been to a burlesque show before...so of course, me being the pro cause ya know, Id been to the show last week, I was all like "See, it's so much fun! Don't you wish you'd come earlier?" Okay, no I wasn't.

Today I go to work to begin my one woman factory of making collapsable lamp shades. It shall be fun because it will just be the asst. and I all day.
