SO!
We got a new microwave and about 100 feet...total that is...of cable to split from next door.
That...is exciting. It's my first brand new microwave ever. The ones Ive had in the past were all previous owner rejects that I took under my wing. The last one we had, the roaches had even inherited and regardless of the thorough cleaning, I could never get that out of my head. Gross. Grosser than gross. So you shouldn't be surprised when I was somewhat excited when it died the other day. Though when we walk by it on the street, waiting to be taken away by the garbage guys, I can't help but feel a little sad. I felt especially bad when we walked by it with our new microwave. Not really.
So the cable expedition. The boy bought 4 lengths of 25' cable to be link together and brought down the hall for some splitting action. No luck however and I'm pretty sure it's because the links holding the cable together are actual splitters and not the regular connectors. I made a face at the boy when he returned with those in hand, asking him where the real connectors were. He said that was all they had. So after a lot of futzing and getting HBO in perfectly but not much else, we decided it's got to be the splitters making some kind of interference when the kitties run across them in the hallway and all that junk. So today we get the real thing and cross our fingers. For now we're back to our regular ol' 5 channels.
Today I also continue work on a layout for UKUK. Well, I didn't really tell you about that. Last nite I started work on it and it's coming out really well with the exception of my graphix programs. They blow. Meaning, I have paint. That's all.
Wish me luck. Its not an easy thang to do.
