My brother and I were talking music the other day. This is not a rare occurence fyi. I was telling him how I love to hear something new but Im not the kind of person who goes to the record store and just picks something at random or reads about it in a magazine and buys it. I like to have other people introduce me to new sounds. That way not only am I hearing something new but I also get to hear the person's opinion about the music. I find it another person's opinion pretty fascinating and so I tend to listen to the music with a fine tuned ear after someone has recommended the music to me.

I decided that a really great idea would be to have my brother bring me atleast two new albums every week for me to listen too. He remembered and brought me two yesterday morning.

I popped in The Rogers Sisters this morning and instantly fell in love. Simple lyrics put to simple tunes and so well put together I might add. I jokingly asked my brother if he thought they had ever heard the Talking Heads (or the B52s for that matter.) Anyhow, not going to give out a full review today. But these guys are a blast. 80s sound without the synthesizer crap. Very plain and very rockin.
