Im currently listening to the new Outkast album that my bro gracefully handed to the boy the other nite. The bro has a vinyl copy. This album is truly amazing. I can not describe it so you must just get your own copy if you havent. It's an amazing mix of genres and 2 cds worth of it.
Well yesterday was a big fat pain in my ass. I woke up at 6am as my last post indicated. Went to a tech call for 8am. Basically it's a brand new theater company called Epic and one of the assts. and I were there to make sure everything went smoothly. Actually, I was there to make repairs and finish whatever props needed finishing. This included, but was not limited to, sanding and antique table completley and re-staining it and re-stretching a cover over an old antique chair because apparently who ever did it last time didnt think "stretching" was actually part of putting it on. So I originally wasnt supposed to stay all that long. Was just supposed to help touch up a few things and be outta there and go home. Of course sanding a whole table and so on and so forth kept me there 'til about 430pm and then I was called to go to the shop to get some stuff done for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
Do you want to know what that "stuff" consisted of? Yes my friends, I kid you not, I and another asst. had to dip 100 POUNDS of SPANISH MOSS in paint, ring it out, tamp it out and lay it out. Do you have any idea what 100 pounds of spanish moss looks like? Yeah, I didnt think so. The asst. and were passed the point of no return by the time we were done. I had my face in a paint bucket all nite. I think it's a bad thing when you sniff the fumes for so long that you cant smell them anymore.
Good thing is, I'll get to see it all in action tonite because I got my first "INVITED DRESS REHEARSAL" to a broadway show tonite!!! Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Jason Patrick, Ashley Judd and Ned Beatty (who apparently is awesome). So Im totally stoked cause well geez, Im invited to a Broadway dress and that's great.
So now I sit here all day because after my 15 and a half hour day yesterday, the boss gave me today off.
Continue listening to Outkast...and GO.
