This is my favorite part of the day and sometimes I just wish it could last for hours. When I was in college I used to get up early and walk across the quiet campus to the cafe for some coffee and sometimes even a little breakfast. Then I would take the coffee back to my room and just chill out and listen to how quiet it was. Sometimes you could just hear the volume start to pick up as classes did.
There's no chance of anyone bugging you this early in the morning. Everyone is still sleeping, or still trying to wake up. Me? Im just drinking my coffee and thinking about what I did yesterday. Anything interesting? Not really.
It was monday as you may well remember. I kept the boy and the asst. company as they drove around the city picking up props goods. Yes, the boy helped out for a few hours. We ended up sitting outside of Rosebrand for an hour waiting. When I went in to hunt the asst. down, she said the boss hadn't put the order in. I said weeeeee. Anyway, it really didnt take all that long to get everything done. I put a little pepper in their steps when I could. I felt that was my duty as the person keeping them company and all. Riiiight.
So then we got back here. I cuddled up alone in bed for awhile cause it was freakin COLD in here! Then the heat came on and I rejoiced as the boy got hotter and hotter. I told the kitties it was time to learn about the heaters. Im sure they're a little bummed cause they use the one in the kitchen to get to the counter where they lay in the warmth of a lamp all day. But it's not on right now so they can jump up. Kinda like a video game. I wonder if the hissing of the steam bugs them?
Last nite was "dinner nite" next door. We decided last week after a fabulous monday meal that mondays were going to be dinner nite. Next door would cook, since we have no gas still, (I think it's been over a month now by the way) and we would buy fixings if they needed them. We had this amazing spicy chicken with onions and tomatos on top, rice with chickpeas and corn made just right. I wish every nite was dinner nite. It's great cause then they fellas all sit around and watch football and I got to come back in here and watch the red sox win. Oh yeah, and the food was so spicy that I got a bloody nose. Howdya like that? I know Ive always been sensitive to spicy foods (thanks to that hot pepper that was "snuck" in my chinese food when I was a kid and the red pepper my brother's friend gave him and we ate it thinking it was a normal pepper. Nope.) but that was just ridiculous. Of course, it didnt help that they had all the windows closed and it smelled like a freakin spice factory in there. So good yet so teary eyed.
Off to work I go. Hi ho hi ho hi ho
