"Im a fuckin donut."

Does anyone know what those black dots are on the sidewalk? Ever since I can remember Ive always just kind of assumed it was gum. Well, I gave it another thought the other day after not having thought about it in a long long time and realized...could that many people be chewing gum and just spitting it out onto the ground? It seems if that were the case then more likely we'd end up having it on our shoes all the time. SO my conclusion? It must be a mixture of gum, paint, tar and other unknown sticky nasty things that have been dropped onto the sidewalk. Each little black spot probably has a story you know, but, that's a little too much for my thinking.
