Knitflix

We did it! We opened the show finally after 3 weeks of previews. It feels so good to know that we're finally going to jump into a regular schedule. I'll have most of my days free instead of rehearsing so I won't have to use my real days off to work on lampshades. Huzzah!

Yesterday was my first full blown day off with nothing to do but relax. My down time has now been officially reserved for Netflixing and knitting. I have loads of progress to make on my christmas presents still. As far as Netflix go, the boy and I have watched a good handfull of movies lately. Some recommendations:

50 First Dates - This movie was so much more than I thought it would be. I truly loved it. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore were absolutely adorable in this flick. In fact, I would even watch it again.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - Fantastic! Ive read all the books that are out and wasn't completely thrilled with the first movie. This third one though is amazing. It's got a very dark and creepy feeling to it (as did the book). These movies get prettier with each new release.

Sing Faster - This is one of my favorite documentaries. My dad bought it for me back in college when I got into theater but someone spilled a soft drink on my VHS copy and I haven't watched it since. It's a documentary about the backstage life of putting up Wagner's "Ring Cycle" (a 17 hour opera). The story of the opera is told throughout by one of the stage hands. Just reminds me of all the people I work with.

The Terminal - Another great one that I was expecting to be somewhat mediocre. I really loved the concept of this film and Tom Hanks (he's a stitch!) blew me away. Who woulda known he could do some realy character work. ;)

Anyhow, that's the length of the excitement in my days. It's 10:44 at the moment and that's still too early for me to have gotten my head together. Maybe I should go knit something before I find myself back at work in a couple hours. le sigh.
